Access
1. By Car
A 15-minute drive from the Shin-Tomei Expressway as the mountain range approaches. Access from the city center and the Nagoya area is smooth using the Shin-Tomei Expressway. As you get off at the "Hamamatsu Hamakita IC" and head north, the mountain range gradually approaches, and the presence of the Tenryu River grows stronger. Futamata is also the entrance to the vast Hoku-En (Northern Enshu) area.
Nearest IC: Shin-Tomei Expressway "Hamamatsu Hamakita IC"
Route: About 15 to 20 minutes north on Route 152 from Hamamatsu Hamakita IC.
2. By Train
Transfer to a local line from Hamamatsu Station, into the atmosphere of the Showa era.
Board from Enshu Railway "Shin-Hamamatsu Station" (3-minute walk from JR Hamamatsu Station).
Get off at "Nishi-Kajima Station" (Takes about 32 minutes).
Transfer to the Tenryu Hamanako Railroad.
Get off at "Tenryu Futamata Station" (Takes about 5 minutes). Point: Some trains on the Tenryu Hamanako Railroad do not accept IC cards. Please also enjoy the nostalgic experience of buying a paper ticket.
